The Nerdsletter Issue #100 – Triple Digits

And the big triple digit moment. Still haven’t missed a week although this week got close to me skipping, mostly due to me being lazy. Let’s dive in!

GAMING

Played more Lethal Company this week of course, with the new Update 50 active. That was wacky as hell and I very much enjoyed it.

Other than that, it’s been Warframe all week. I managed to get a whole bunch of new frames built including:

  • Dante
  • Mirage
  • Hildryn Prime
  • Gauss Prime
  • Inaros Prime
  • Harrow Prime

For those unaware, a Prime frame is basically a fancier, slightly stronger version of an existing frame. Both count for Mastery, so if you say have both normal and prime versions of a Frame, you can level each one, and get Mastery points for both. You only really need 1 copy of a frame at any time though, so you can safely get rid of non primes once you have their prime version. I only have 2 Warframe slots left so I have to be choosey here going forward, at least until I level up my Helminth so I can eat some of my non prime frames (This is a late game thing, you newbies dont need to concern yourself with this process).

It’s mostly been grinding out relics, levels, and other such things. I will say that getting Dante, the newest frame, was honestly very chill. The grind for him requires you to have access to the latest areas (which means finishing the last story quest Whisper in the Walls). He is 100% my playstyle and is everything I wanted in a frame. It’s to the point where I actually went and started using my platinum that I get from trading prime parts to other players to buy hard to get mods and even came up with a build for him. This is my build for him:

I still need to get the 2 arcanes (at the bottom, again new players don’t worry about those too much), the Primed versions of Flow and Continuity, and Transient Fortitude. I have everything else. Basically, with Dante you want to stack Ability Strength as all of his powers scale off that. If you are a new player don’t worry about having all this stuff, you can get it over time. I did farm my own Augur Secrets (a 2% drop chance off a thing called Bounties) so I can at least say that! I may replace Energy Nexus with something (Intensify, Augur Reach, or Equilibrium) but I have not decided yet.

The big test for my Dante setup will be Steel Path. I can handle Arbitrations with him no problem, so it’s really all about those Steel Path missions and if he can breeze through them as well as he does everything else.

The only other big thing is that I have 2 games to cover later this week (Gas Station Simulator, and Kingsgrave), and I also started playing NWN EE Again (specifically SoU and HotU) because, thanks to Thor of Pirate Software, I have been inspired to sit down later and teach myself the Aurora Toolset (will more of it) and build something, anything, to prove to myself that I can use it.

Oh, and this is in progress. Voting ends next week on the 24th, and I will be starting the Lets All Play then.

FINAL WORD OF THE WEEK

100 Nerdsletters. 100 weeks of endless journal entries. 100 weeks of my life in gaming and other nerd shit written down.

Wild.

Stay Nerdy, treat each other kindly, and I will see you all next week. Take care.
